 In 2004 a new gas engine with electronically-controlled fuel supply is developed in DM. TEDOM purchases a licence to manufacture low-floor urban buses from the Italian firm Mauri. The prototype of the urban TEDOM bus is launched, equipped with a TEDOM engine burning compressed natural gas. TEDOM Energo significantly increases the number of operational energy sources on communal waste landfill sites. TEDOM is granted a certificate according to ISO 14001 standards. (kilde: Wikipedia)

The origin of the name TEDOM - then the name of a firm owned by ing. Josef Jelecek. The beginning of work on the project "Small domestic heating plant with a combustion engine running on natural gas". This project is supported by the then Czech Ministry of Local Development with a grant of 170 thousand CZK and a repayable loan of 140 thousand CZK. Work begins on the construction of the first cogeneration unit, the TEDOM MT 22.
